  • Description:Waist-length of subject facing three-quarter right with his eyes turned to look at the viewer. He is wearing his World War II dress uniform and all the accompanying decorations appropriate to his years in the war. His light brown hair is cut short and parted on his left, and the background is mottled blues, purples, and greens.
  • History:Portrait commissioned by subject's parents and given to him at their deaths.
  • Notes:Subject born 13 August 1923 in Nashville, Tennessee. During World War II 1943-1945 with 517th Parachute Regimental Combat Teams. Fought in Arno - Rome, Italy - Southern France, Battle of the Bulge, Rhineland, and Central Europe.
