Notes:Son of Robert Boyte Crawford Howell. Lawyer & Mayor of Nashville for 1 term. Joined Knights Templar around 1857. He was born October 2,1834 in Norfolk, Virginia, to Rev. Robert Boyte Crawford Howell (1801 – 1868) and Mary Ann Morton Toy Howell (1808 – 1871). He was married three times, first to Isabel Elliot, secondly to Martha Ann Curd (b. 1843), thirdly to Elizabeth Capers Trigg Curd (b. 1848) – who were sisters. They were the daughters of Haiden Curd (1804 – 1859) and Martha Edmonds (1830 – 1869)
