Margaret McClung, the second child of Matthew and Eliza Jane Morgan McClung, was born on 15 Mar 1822 in Knoxville, Tn. She died on 6 Apr 1886 in Nashville, Tn. She was buried in Mt. Olivet Cem., Nashville, Tn. She married Robert Henry Gardner on 9 Jun 1842 in Knoxville, Tn. He was from Nashville. They reared three children: Sarah McClung b. 1844; Robert Henry b. 1848; and Matthew McClung Gardner b. 1852.
