Notes: Nee Elizabeth Little Vance. Elizabeth Little (Vance) Topp was born on June 18, 1818 in Memphis, Tennessee to Samuel Vance III and Elizabeth Jane Little (Brown) Vance. She married Robertson Topp, who served in the Tennessee state legislature and House of Representatives from 1835-1839, representing Shelby County. They were the parents of at least 4 children: Margaret Laughlin, Morgan Brown, William Little Brown, and Elizabeth Brown Vance. She died on June 4, 1895 in Memphis.
