History:This portrait is considered to be in poor condition as there is mold on the back of the frame. This portrait was conserved July 1954. It was separated from the liner, remounted, and cleaned. It was treated with capaiva balsam and finished with very light ethereal varnish. The portrait is of a young woman with shoulder length brown hair wearing a white dress. On her left wrist is a bracelet.
Notes:Mrs. M. B. Pilcher,(Judith Dudley Winston) was born January 9, 1842 in Columbia, KY. She married June 13, 1867 and died October 19, 1909 in Nashville.
