Notes:Sitter was born ca. 1761 and lived in Norfolk, VA. He married Judith Rodney 11/21/1788. His grandson was President of the Memphis & Charleston Railroad and the Memphis & Ohio Railroad. Owners have letters dating to Civil War era re: one of his descendants, Col. James Proudfit Wood. His owner's great-great-great-grandfather.
