History:The portraitist, Mark Alan Burnett's father, both an artist and a sculptor, encouraged his son to paint portraits. After dabbling in many other things such as operating a book store/café; building homes and advertising, Mark Alan Burnett moved to Nashville in 1982 at age 30 to begin his portrait painting career. He has had clients in Nashville, Chicago, New York, Atlanta, Memphis, Montgomery, Colorado, Florida and Germany.
Notes:Kari Crozier Rassas is the daughter of retired Col. Ted Crozier, mayor of Clarksville, Tennessee for 8 years, and his wife, the late Mary Tom Wall Crozier, a Clarksville native. Having grown up all over the U.S. and also in Germany, Kari now lives with her husband, Mark Rassas, a Clarksville attorney. They are the parents of 5 children. Kari teaches English, part time, as a second language to international students at APSU.
