History:The portrait descended down the Robertson family to the TN Historical Society, whose name has been burned into one rail of the back stretcher. As of 2004, the portrait is in poor condition. The canvas is dirty and punctured in the lower left and lower right corners. There is considerable paint loss and heavy cracking and spiderwebbing in the paint surface. The portrait is of a woman turned to her left. She has dark hair, large eyes and a large nose. She is wearing a ruffled white cap which extends to her shoulders and is tied under her chin with a wide black ribbon.
Notes:Leodocia Erwin Robertson was the wife of Blount Robertson.
