Description:Oval bust-length portrait of a lady with dark upswept hair, parted in the middle, and with curls on either side of the part. Her v-necked, black dress is ornamented with stand-up lace collar and lace trim down the neck opening. No jewelry is visible.
History:Probably painted in Williamson County, Franklin, TN.
Notes:7 July 1851-6 May 40. Owner's grandmother. She married 30 Nov. 1881.
